Welcome to Little Straw Vineyards, a family-owned winery established in 1996.  Until recently our winery was called Slamka Cellars, but in 2004 we decided to change to the English translation of our Slovakian surname--Slamka means "little straw."  Now, everyone will understand why there has always been a sheaf of wheat on our labels.   All our wines are made by the same winemaker, Peter Slamka, and are bottled on-site at our winery.  The majority of  grapes we use are grown in our own vineyards situated on the lower slopes of Mount Boucherie near Kelowna, British Columbia.   We produce a complete range of wines, with something to suit most every taste.  Feel free to browse in our wine shop to find a wine that will satisfy you.

Food enzymes are found in raw foods, which come equipped with some of the enzymes needed for their own digestion. However, enzymes are heat–sensitive––so cooking and processing can destroy 100 per cent of the naturally occurring enzymes in food.
