The winery was founded in 1978 by Rodger Dial. His challenge was to conquer the cool climate of Nova Scotia . After a great deal of hard work the winery flourished. Rodger planted the Russian Grape varieties Severnyi and Michurinetz. But the demands of time and money and the believe that you can not make good wine in Nova Scotia brought on the decline of the winery.
